Mayor Meier ■oved that the amended Consent Agenda
be approved, Luce seconded. Motion approved
unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENTS Tom McAvinav, 229 Lois Drive, Louisville, asked to
S address Council regarding speeding on Hoover Ave.
and joggers with unleased dogs using the
neighborhood yards as relief stations. McAvinew
felt that police had not adequately patrolled the
area for violators. Staff was instructed to check
into the matter and Mayor Meier felt that
educating people could help the situation.
levin McMahon, 8522 Valmont Drive, Boulder.
presented a Declaraltion of Dedication of 752 of
the Harney property located at the corner of
Highway 42 and South Boulder Road to the City of
Louisville as open space. McMahon could only speak for the 123
acres of Harney property which he represents.
APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS
HISTORICAL COMMISSION ten Huson and Ron Meek were recomiended by the
Historical Commission to be appointed to the board
to fill the current vacancies.
Morris was concerned that Meek was not a resident
of Louisville. His credentials proved to be
impeccable and would clearly be a great asset to
the board. However, Morris felt that there were
• two other applications to the board who were
Louisville residents and that the formation of an
Historical Society could accommodate those
individuals who were not residents but wished to
become an active member in the preservation of
Louisville's history.
Ivan Urnovits, vice- chairman of the Historical
Commission, addressed the concerns of Council. a
society is a major goal of the commission for 1985
to allow more individuals to bacons active in
these efforts.
