Wanush is the new Director of <br /> Community Development. <br /> PROCLAMATIOI — NATIONAL • <br /> POLICE WRU Mayor Meier rest the Proclamation declaring May 15 <br /> of each year as "Police Memorial Day." <br /> PROCLAMATION — MULTIPLE <br /> SCLEROSIS SOCIETI Mayor Meier declared May as "Multiple Sclerosis <br /> Month." <br /> LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION <br /> HOWARD'S COAL. CREEE <br /> RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE The Public Hearing for the Liquor License <br /> Application wan opened by Mayor Meier. Mr. and <br /> Mrs. Howard were present to answer questions. <br /> The Public Hearing was continued to the next <br /> Council Meeting, May 21, 1985, as there was an <br /> error in the Public Notice published in the <br /> Louisville Times and has been corrected and action <br /> can be taken at the next meeting. Mayor Meier <br /> moved that the Public Hearing be continued until <br /> May 21, 1985. Luce seconded and the motion woe <br /> approved unanimously. <br /> JOINT ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Steve Anderson, President of the Chamber of <br /> Commerce =rslated to Council the response of the <br /> Chamber members and business community to the <br /> Joint Economic Development Program that was <br /> proposed. The general feeling was very positive <br /> and favorable to this proposal. <br /> Mayor Meier moved that staff draft a contract <br /> between the Council and the Chamber of Coamerce <br /> and place it on the May 21 , 1985, Council Agenda. <br /> Luce seconded. <br /> The City's portion of funding will be taken from <br /> unanticipated revenue. specifically monies from <br /> franchise agreements.
