Polk Ave., Louisville, gave <br /> a presentation with respect to the proposed tax <br /> increase. Vollmer stated that the CIP included <br /> perceived needs, not necessarily real needs and <br /> therefore, presented possible alternative sources <br /> of revenues. <br /> Mayor Meier asked for Public comments in favor of <br /> or in opposition to the Proposed Tax Increase. <br /> Mons. Mayor Meier closed the Public Bearing. <br /> Mayor Meier asked for Council Comments. <br /> Lea responded to Mr. Volleer's presentation <br /> stating that alternative sources of revenue had <br /> been looked at and among the real CIP needs is an <br /> extensive drainage program throughout the City. <br /> Luce also responded stating that this Council has <br /> spent two years analysing alternatives for <br /> funding (as have previous Councils).
