Tauson moved that Ordinance 8882, Series 1986, be
placed out for publication and a Public Hearing be
set for March 4, 1966. Szymanski seconded.
Unanimous.
?UTRORIIATIOR TO OBTAIN BIDS
NIGS force PUMP STATION
Thar* outlined that in the 1906 Capital Budget for
the Water Plirnt is the addition of the fifth large
capacity high son. puap. Experience from last
year and preliminary results of the City's current
Water Distribution and Supply Study indicate the
Nigh Iona Pump Station is at or near capacity
during peak demand. For these reasons, Public
Works is recommending that the fifth and last
largo capacity high sons pump be added to provide
redundancy to the existing pumps so that should an
existing puap fail, demand requirements can be
mot. Phare also asked that Rocky Mountain
Consultants be retained to provide staff
assistance in engineering the project. Because
of the small size of the project and RMC's
familiarity with the City's High lone Pump
Station, staff doss not feel a request for
proposals from other consultants is warranted.
Phar. explained that beginning the project now
will allow enough lead time to have the puap in
place and in service during the peak demands this
summer.
Anderson moved that Staff be authorised to proceed
with obtaining engineering hide for installation
of the fifth large capacity high son. puap and
retain Rocky Mountain Consultants to assist in the
project. Scarp,lla seconded. Unanimous.
TROOSIL A BATIoI A
ROBING RBQUSST
Mayor Pauson received a letter from Robert R.
Trouail requesting the annexation of 6.33 acres of
ground at sapire Road and Highway 42.
Wanush asked Mr. Trouail if he was requesting an
industrial soning as this would conform to his
existing use. Mr. Trousil nodded affirmatively.
Wanush recommended this annexation and soning
request be referred to the Planning Commission for
recommendation.
Mohr moved that Trouail annexation request be
referred to the Planning Commission for
recommendation. Tauson seconded. Unanimous.
3
