The applicant will be <br /> contacted and this item will be set for another <br /> meeting. <br /> PROCLAMATION - OLDER <br /> AMERICANS MONTE Mayor Pauson read a proclamation declaring May as <br /> Older Americans Month. Mayor Pauson also <br /> congratulated Minnie M. Mann, long-time resident <br /> of Louisville on this her 100th lirtMday. Plovers <br /> were sent by Council on behalf of the entire City <br /> of Louisville. <br /> PROCLAMATION - IIATIONNAL POLICE WEER AND <br /> POLICE MEMORIAL DAY Mayor Pauson read a proclamation declaring May 11- <br /> 17 as Police Week and May 15th as Police Memorial <br /> Day. <br /> PRESENTATION OP <br /> EMPLOYEE AWARD Mayor Pauson presented plaques recognising five <br /> years of service to the City of Louisville to <br /> Robbie Teetsel, William Stucker, George Eupfner, <br /> Pamela Pierce, Jackie Ross, Angel• Bobsck, William <br /> Elrod, August Rioco, Susan Johnson and Robert <br /> Olin. Mark Nehmen was presented a plaque <br /> acknowledging his ten years of service to the City <br /> of Louisville in the Public Safety Department. <br /> REQUEST FOR STREET CLOSURE - DOWNTOWN MERCBAuTs <br /> SIDEWALK SALE The Sidewalk Sale Committee submitted a letter to <br /> Council requesting closing of Main Street from <br /> Pine Street to mid-block between Walnut and South <br /> Streets with intersections at Walnut and Pine open <br /> and the intersection at ;. ,ruce and Main closed on <br /> May 31, 1986, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mayor <br /> Pauson moved that this request be approved. <br /> Anderson seconded. Unanimous. <br /> SET SECOND JUNE COUNCIL MEETING <br /> POR JUNE 16, 1986 Ssycanski asked that this item be placed under <br /> Regular business simply to allow the audience to <br /> hear the date set for the second meeting in June. <br /> The meeting is being set one day in advance of the <br /> usual date to allow Councilmeabers to attend the <br /> Colorado Municipal League Annual Conference in <br /> Colorado Springs during that work. Bsymanski <br /> moved that Council approve the setting of the <br /> second June Council Meeting for June 16, 1986. <br /> Mayor Pauson seconded. Unanimous. <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ELOCE GRANT - <br /> PUBLIC HEARING Rich Wanush explained that the City of Lafayette <br /> and the City of Louisville are applying jointly <br /> for funding through the Community Development <br /> Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Each oammunity has <br /> identified its downtown area as in need of up- <br /> 2 <br />
