Unanimous. <br /> UPDATE - NORTH LOUISVILLE TRUNK <br /> SEWER Phare explained that the North Louisville trunk <br /> sewer is now completely installed. Testing will <br /> be taking place for approximately two weeks. When <br /> the testing is complete, use of the lift station <br /> will be discontinued and various parts will be <br /> utilized in other places, i.e., the generator will <br /> be used as a backup generator at the site of the <br /> lift station for the Colorado Tech Center. <br /> AUTHORIZATION TO OBTAIN BIDS - <br /> STREET SWEEPER Phare asked Council to authorise the Public Works <br /> Department to obtain bids on a new street sweeper <br /> for the City of Louisville. This item was <br /> budgeted in the 1987 Capital Improvements Program <br /> with 3 year payment arrangement for the sweeper. <br /> The new sweeper is to replace the current 15-year <br /> old sweeper. <br /> Fauson moved that authorization to obtain bids for <br /> a new street sweeper be approved. Szymanski <br /> seconded. Unanimous. <br /> UPDATE - RECREATION CENTER <br /> FEASIBILITY STUDY Krisko updated Council as to the activities of the <br /> Community Services Department in. conducting a <br /> follow-up feasibility study to the Recreation Task <br /> Force regarding a proposed community center <br /> facility for Louisville. Detailed information <br /> will be presented to Council at a Work Session on <br /> February 25, 1987. Public Administration Interns, <br /> Jacqueline Scott and Floyd Schriber are helping <br /> Krisko with the study which include such items <br /> as visiting numerous facilities, exploring various <br /> types of funding, types of facilities, securing <br /> operation and maintenance costs, evaluating local <br /> resources, etc. The final summary will be <br /> presented to Council at a Work Session cm February <br /> 2Sth. <br /> Szymanski stated that he was pleased to see the <br /> work of the Recreation Task Force being utilised <br /> by continuing with their efforts in finding a <br /> solution to the needs for a community center for <br /> the residents of the City of Louisville. <br /> 5 <br />
