<br /> Section 7. When any registered elector, on the day of <br />the election, shall be absent from the City, or by reason of his <br />work or the nature of his employment is likely to be absent and <br />fears that he will be absent from the City on said day, or because <br />of serious illness, handicap, or advanced age, or for reasons <br />based upon the doctrines of establishes religions shall be unable <br />to attend the polls, he may vote by absentee ballot, in accordance <br />with the provisions of the Colorado Municipal Election Code of <br />1965, as amended. <br /> Application for an absentee ballot shall be filed with <br />the City Clerk not later than the close of business on the Friday <br />immediately preceding the election. The application may be in the <br />form of a letter stating the applicant's residence address and the <br />reason or reasons for which such absentee ballot is requested. <br /> The absent voter polling place for the election shall be <br />located at the City Clerk's office in the City Hall, 749 Main <br />Street, in the City. <br /> To the extent, in the manner, and within the limitations <br />and regulations established by law, the City Clerk shall accept <br />applications and disburse absent voters ballots to those properly <br />qualified persons who apply therefor. <br /> Section 8. The election shall be conducted and the <br />votes shall be cast, canvassed, and returned in conformity with <br />the provisions of the Colorado Municipal Election Code of 1965, as <br />amended. <br /> section 9. If anyone or more sections or parts of this <br />Resolution shall be adjudged unenforceable or invalid, such <br />judgment shall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remaining <br />provisions hereof, it being the intention that the various <br />provisions hereof are severable. <br /> section 10.
