Mark
moved to adopt the new bylaws. Mary Ann seconded. The motion was approved unanimously.
Action item: Mark to send new bylaws to Kerry Holle. (Bylaws are attached.)

VII. REVIEW OF GEO GRANT PROCESS
Andy and Mark met with chief building official Mike Jones and Peter Geiss (sp?). An ARRA grant
for "Above Building Code" was submitted to the Governor's Energy Office (GEO) on May 17.
Notice will be received within 30 days. Andy gives details of the grant proposal.
Action item: Circulate grant proposal to LSAB members.
If approved it will be a three-part process from September 2010 until June 2011. Education and
outreach will be a component and LSAB has a role in this. Collaborations with organizations in
the neighborhood should be sought such as:

. Center for Resource Conservation, Residential Energy Action Program (REAP),
. Boulder Green BuildinQ Guild (BGBG);
. Governor's EnerQV Office.

LSAB could have a role in creating metrics to assess the success of the program, facilitate
group meetings, and market the solar and green building tour of homes. Mary Ann asks if there
will be product expos and vendors. Yes, this will be done like last year. Mark asks how eligible
homes will be found. Not only those with photovoltaic roof panels but with other improvements,
too. Andy thinks the tour should be "our" event.
Mary Ann mentions that there were many other announcements from the GEO in the last couple
of weeks and wonders if LSAB should respond to any of them. Andy comments that the
renewable ready buildings announcement applies only to commercial buildings. Most of the
other announcements are not applicable to Louisville because the city is in Xcel territory.

Public Works Department
303.335.4608 (phone)

City of Louisville
749 Main Street
303.335.4550 (fax)

Louisville, CO 80027
www.louisvilleco.gov
