City Staff Update - Kathy and Julie S. <br /> <br />Kathy reported that the City of Louisville will have a Facebook account. Kathy <br />asked to be invited as an administrator on the LCC Facebook account. <br /> <br />VIII. City Council Update - Frost <br />No update. <br /> <br />II. Art in the Park - Maryan <br />- Artists prospectus, legal review, sculpture pads, budget <br /> <br />Maryan reported that she has received 12 entries for Art in the Park. Maryan will <br />invite all the Judging Committee; Kathy Martin, Julie Kovash, Lynn Wooton, Deb <br />Krueger, and Barbara McGehan to review the entries. Kathy will email <br />information about metal bases to Lynn and Maryann. <br /> <br />IX. New Arts Center - Don <br />Don was not present. <br /> <br />X. Grant Writing - Justine <br /> <br />Justine reported on the Gates Foundation and the Gates Rubber Capitol Project. <br />This grant needs to be submitted in July <br /> <br />XIII. Fundraising/Sponsorships - All <br />No discussion <br /> <br />XIV. Discussion of Events <br />- May 14 Concert, May 15 Silent Movie, Paintin' Louisville, Summer <br />Concerts <br />The 5/14 Concert was a fundraiser for Jazz All Stars to raise funds to go to the <br />Sacramento Jazz Festival. This event cost no money because Andy offered his <br />time and expertise to do the sound. The $5.00 Donation went to the Jazz All <br />Stars. <br /> <br />The Silent Movie was attended by 51 people and considered a success. <br /> <br />Lynn discussed the Paintin' Louisville event where the subject is the Louisville <br />Historical Museum; possibly 50 artists will participate. <br />
