The Council could make this <br />decision. <br /> <br />Brand: You can't impose the use tax. <br /> <br />Sackett: If we decide to leave things status quo <br />then we don't have a problem, but if we <br />wanted to reduce the service expansion <br />fee and increase use tax we'd have to, <br />right? <br /> <br />Brand: You can reduce the service expansion fee, <br />that is your decision, but in order to <br />impose an actual tax the people have to <br />vote on it. <br /> <br />Davidson moved that staff be directed to look into this issue and <br />come back to Council with their recommendation, seconded by <br />Hornbostel.
