L <br />Cityof Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />PROCLAMATION <br />NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION DAY <br />WHEREAS, National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was founded in 2015 to <br />recognize officers across the country for the daily sacrifices they make for their <br />communities; and <br />WHEREAS, National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, is observed on Tuesday, <br />January 9, 2024 and observants of the day are encouraged to support law enforcement <br />officers by wearing blue, and turning on blue lights at their homes; and <br />WHEREAS, the health and safety of the residents, visitors, and businesses of the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado are important to quality of life in our community, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville, Colorado is the proud home of dedicated law <br />enforcement officers who put their lives on the line to keep our community safe; and <br />WHEREAS, we appreciate the extraordinary efforts and sacrifices made by law <br />enforcement officers and their family members, on a daily basis in order to protect our <br />homes, workplaces, roadways and places of recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, The well-being of the City of Louisville, Colorado residents is preserved and <br />enhanced as a direct result of the vigilance of law enforcement officers. <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of Louisville, Colorado that <br />January 9, 2024 is proclaimed as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. <br />DATED this 19th day December, 2023 <br />ATTEST: `f <br />Christo h .
