RESOLUTION NO. 24 <br /> SERIES 2010 <br /> A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING EDITH GUENZI FOR HER LIFELONG <br /> DEVOTION TO THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> WHEREAS, Henry and Josephine Guenzi immigrated to Louisville from Italy in <br /> search of a better life and for the coal mining jobs; and <br /> WHEREAS, Edith Guenzi was born in Louisville on April 30, 1910 to Henry and <br /> Josephine; and <br /> WHEREAS, Edith attended the St. Louis School and then graduated from <br /> Louisville High School in 1929; and <br /> WHEREAS, Edith worked for the Mountain Bell Telephone Company for forty <br /> years; and <br /> WHEREAS, Edith is a proud, lifelong member of the St. Louis Catholic Church; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Edith has always celebrated her Italian heritage and the Italian <br /> heritage of Louisville; and <br /> WHEREAS, Edith has lived all 100 years of her life in Louisville and has helped <br /> to make Louisville a great place to life. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Louisville, <br /> Colorado that the citizens of the City of Louisville do hereby honor and recognize Edith <br /> Guenzi for her lifetime of dedication to the City of Louisville. <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4` day of May, 2010. <br /> BY: L.5 <br /> fi Sheri Marsell, Mayor Pro Tem <br /> City of Louisville, Colorado <br /> TTESl <br /> t C ty Clerk <br /> City of Louisvil e, Colorado <br />
