The tour lasted approximately 45 <br />minutes. <br />B.Schedule for Joint Meetings with: <br />1)Lafayetter Library Board <br />The date has not been finalized, but sometime in October/November seems <br />likely. The Board is awaiting confirmation from Lafayette. <br />2)Louisville Historical Commission <br />The best time for both boards appears to be in September. Alicia will follow-up <br />with Bridget Bacon, staff liaison to the Historical Commission. <br />C.Initial Phase of Library User Survey <br />1)Review currently available data <br />Beth distributed two articles related to library usage trends, along with one <br />sample survey from the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library in Broomfield. Beth <br />noted that many other library surveys are available. The URLs to those surveys <br />will be provided to Board members. <br />2)Draft Outline for Library User Survey <br />Nisa led the Board in a discussion to identify the objectives of the survey, the <br />kinds of questions that should be asked, the types of formats to deliver the survey <br />and capture data, and the key steps in the process to develop and finalize the <br />survey. <br />Karen will compile the information for the Board’s review at the next meeting. <br />VIII.Director’s Report <br />A.Statistics <br />Monthly Use Measures for May and June were reviewed. Other statistics reviewed: <br />2009 Collection Turnover, by item type <br />Breakdown of card holders by residency <br />Chart illustrating number of library accounts by age group <br />Karen will prepare a secondary chart that illustrates the age-group <br />o <br />comparison between Louisville and Superior card holders <br />B.Fair Campaign Practices <br />Beth summarized the contents of memorada that were distributed by the City Manager’s <br />Office and City Attorney in early July.
