• Research, evaluate, and make recommendations on the possibility of contracting a
marketing firm to produce an ongoing action plan for the City of Louisville's
Recreation/Senior Center to implement. This too will have a cost associated with it;
however in time, it will be offset by increased revenue.
In summary, the City of Louisville's Recreation/Senior Center has reached the point of
needing to rethink the philosophies of the past and have the ability to implement new ideas for
the future. By setting limitations on ourselves, our organization will only hinder the business
operation of our recreation/senior center. Together through policy makers, City employees
and the community, effective opportunities can exist to maximize the Recreation/Senior
Center in realizing the finances necessary to assist in sustaining our operation. As has been
stated in the Center's slogan over the past 14 years. "The Louisville Recreation/Senior Center
is a Great Place To Be." By all of us accepting the belief that it takes financial resources to
generate revenue, we can achieve our goals. Through the Recreation/Senior Center, the City
of Louisville continues to make a positive impact on the quality of life within the community -
a human value that is priceless in both indirect and direct costs for a community that expects
excellence in the standard of living for the residents of the City of Louisville.
