The agenda was posted on the City's web site and at City Hall, the Louisville Public Library, the Recreation Center and the Courts and Police Department Building on June 16,2006. Conflict ofInterest and Disclosure: None Staff Report of Facts and Issues: Wood thanked Jared Barnes, Planning Intern, for the work that he has accomplished related to the Sign Code Amendments. He also stated that they would co-present the facts and issues. Wood discussed the following: . Definitions to clarify sign types . General Standards for signs . Measurement of Sign . Requirements of specific sign types . Requirements within specific zone districts: Residential and Industrial. Barnes discussed the details of the Requirements within the Commercial Office and Retail Zone Districts. Members of the Public: None Commission Questions and Discussion with Staff: The Commission stated that the proposed revisions are consistent with the direction of the Commission. They requested additional information on the following: 1) Vehicle Signs - Are they prohibited? How to enforce or restrict them? 2) Inflatable Signs - Are they to be considered temporary signs? Can they be above the roofline? 3) Use of numeric characters in the document need to be consistent. 4) Uniform panel size - anchor tenant vs. primary tenant - Is this something for the Commission to decide or the property owner and the tenants. 5) What is in place to address non-conforming signs? Example: Pasquini's. 6) Eligible building frontage - Can the back or rear of a building have a sign if it abuts a right of way? 7) Kiosks signs - When are they appropriate? Public Hearing Closed / Commission Comments: Dalton moved and Sheets seconded a motion to continue the Sign Code Amendment to the July 13,2006. Motion passed by voice vote. Case Manager: Paul Wood, Planning Director ~ Clementine Subdivision Filing No.2; A proposed three-lot final subdivision replat at 333 East St. in a Residential Medium Density (RM) zoning district. Proposed Lot
