The <br />agenda was posted on the City's web site and at City Hall, the Louisville Public Library, the <br />Recreation Center and the Courts and Police Department Building on June 16,2006. <br /> <br />Conflict ofInterest and Disclosure: None <br /> <br />Staff Report of Facts and Issues: <br />Wood thanked Jared Barnes, Planning Intern, for the work that he has accomplished related to <br />the Sign Code Amendments. He also stated that they would co-present the facts and issues. <br /> <br />Wood discussed the following: <br />. Definitions to clarify sign types <br />. General Standards for signs <br />. Measurement of Sign <br />. Requirements of specific sign types <br />. Requirements within specific zone districts: Residential and Industrial. <br /> <br />Barnes discussed the details of the Requirements within the Commercial Office and Retail Zone <br />Districts. <br /> <br />Members of the Public: None <br /> <br />Commission Questions and Discussion with Staff: <br />The Commission stated that the proposed revisions are consistent with the direction of the <br />Commission. They requested additional information on the following: <br />1) Vehicle Signs - Are they prohibited? How to enforce or restrict them? <br />2) Inflatable Signs - Are they to be considered temporary signs? Can they be above the <br />roofline? <br />3) Use of numeric characters in the document need to be consistent. <br />4) Uniform panel size - anchor tenant vs. primary tenant - Is this something for the <br />Commission to decide or the property owner and the tenants. <br />5) What is in place to address non-conforming signs? Example: Pasquini's. <br />6) Eligible building frontage - Can the back or rear of a building have a sign if it abuts a <br />right of way? <br />7) Kiosks signs - When are they appropriate? <br /> <br />Public Hearing Closed / Commission Comments: <br />Dalton moved and Sheets seconded a motion to continue the Sign Code Amendment to the July <br />13,2006. Motion passed by voice vote. <br /> <br />The following items are tentatively scheduled for July 13,2006: <br />~ Urban Renewal Plan Adoption <br />. Applicant: City of Louisville <br />.
