<br />Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />September 27, 2006 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />1. Visitors: 118 in August, 785 to date this year <br />2. St. Louis, Coal Creek Elementary, Louisville Elementary, and Superior <br />Elementary Schools have arranged tours to take place in the next few <br />months. <br />D. Events and Fundraising <br />1. Silent Auction <br />a. Auction netted $3,818.36. <br />b. A thank-you and gift certificate will be sent to Mona Doersam for helping <br />with the auction. <br />c. Thank-you notes to all donors have been mailed <br />2. Fundraising totals to date in 2006 are $4,676.53 <br />3. Holiday Home Tour <br />a. Two confirmed homes include the former home of Dr. Cassidy <br />b. Leads on other homes are in progress <br />E. Membership <br />1. Dan Mellish and Elle Cabbage created a brochure for business sponsorship <br />opportunities and 200 have been sent to businesses. <br />2. It was suggested that each home on the Holiday Home Tour have <br />membership forms available. <br />3. Membership gift cards are in the design stage. <br />4. Balfour senior discount will include a quarterly tour of the Museum campus. <br />5. Junior memberships were discussed <br /> <br />XI. Chairperson's Report: The Superior Historical Commission has requested a letter <br />of support for a grant application for their museum rehabilitation. Donna Hauswald <br />will send the letter. <br /> <br />XII. Old Business <br />A. Photo policy: discussion postponed <br />B. Walking Tour Brochure was updated for new printing. Avista Adventist Hospital <br />is the new sponsor for the brochure printing <br /> <br />XIII. New Business <br />A. Elle Cabbage announced that the Coal Creek Crossing 5K race during Fall <br />Festival will donate $500 to the Museum <br />B. It was noted that members should start to think about nominations for the 2007 <br />Pioneer Award <br /> <br />XIV. Society Business: None <br /> <br />XV. Commission Comments: None <br /> <br />XVI. Discussion Items for Next Meeting: Pioneer Award; Holiday Home Tour <br /> <br />XVII. Adjourn: The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 PM <br />
