Justine continues to work on proposals for project grants. She has applied for $5000 from Community Foundation Grant. She will also be organizing a business campaign in the Spring for further funding to the Art in the Park project sculpture purchase plan. There will be a reception Sat. Nov. 23 from 1-3 at the Art Center for the Painting Louisville contest. VIII.Treasurer’s Report–Susan M. Susan was absent from the meeting. See October meeting packet for monthly treasurer’s report. IX.City Council Update -Frost Yarnell. A public hearing occurred Tuesday regarding the City budget. X.City Staff Update –Kathy M./Julie S. th , 2010. Community update proposals to Kathy M. for December-March due by October 27 Keep in mind community sustainability when putting together events. st Applications for reappointment to LCC Board are due November 1, 2010. A request for $10,000 to go toward the purchase of new chairs for the Art Center hasbeen included in the 2011 City budget proposal. There will be construction in Memory Square Park while new rocks are added. Traffic plan and parking plan should be added to agenda at future meetings. XI.Art in the Park –Maryan J. Voting on Art in the Park open to the public until October 31. There is a fundraising event in the planning stages to raise funds to purchase a sculpture. Maryan is working with Mountain High Appliance on an indoor “Taste of Louisville” event. Tickets will be sold for $25-$30. Call for entry will go out to local artists for donating art to sell. Area restaurants will be invited to participate. XII.Grants See President’s report. XIII.Fundraising No comments. XIV. Events -All Painting Louisville reception Saturday 1-3.
