Justine continues to work on proposals for project grants. She has applied for $5000 from Community <br />Foundation Grant. She will also be organizing a business campaign in the Spring for further funding to the <br />Art in the Park project sculpture purchase plan. <br />There will be a reception Sat. Nov. 23 from 1-3 at the Art Center for the Painting Louisville contest. <br />VIII.Treasurer’s Report–Susan M. <br />Susan was absent from the meeting. See October meeting packet for monthly treasurer’s report. <br />IX.City Council Update <br />-Frost Yarnell. <br />A public hearing occurred Tuesday regarding the City budget. <br />X.City Staff Update <br />–Kathy M./Julie S. <br />th <br />, 2010. <br />Community update proposals to Kathy M. for December-March due by October 27 <br />Keep in mind community sustainability when putting together events. <br />st <br />Applications for reappointment to LCC Board are due November 1, 2010. <br />A request for $10,000 to go toward the purchase of new chairs for the Art Center hasbeen included in the <br />2011 City budget proposal. <br />There will be construction in Memory Square Park while new rocks are added. <br />Traffic plan and parking plan should be added to agenda at future meetings. <br />XI.Art in the Park <br />–Maryan J. <br />Voting on Art in the Park open to the public until October 31. <br />There is a fundraising event in the planning stages to raise funds to purchase a sculpture. Maryan is <br />working with Mountain High Appliance on an indoor “Taste of Louisville” event. Tickets will be sold for <br />$25-$30. Call for entry will go out to local artists for donating art to sell.
