RESOLUTION NO. 29 <br />SERIES 2024 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BY AND <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND THE BOULDER COUNTY CLERK AND <br />RECORDER FOR THE CONDUCT AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE 2024 <br />COORDINATED ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 5, 2024 <br />WHEREAS, the City will hold a special election on November 5, 2024 as a mail <br />ballot election coordinated by the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder pursuant to the <br />Uniform Election Code of 1992, as amended; and <br />WHEREAS, the attached Intergovernmental Agreement By and Between the City <br />of Louisville and the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder for the Conduct and <br />Administration of the 2024 Coordinated Election to be held November 5, 2025 <br />("Intergovernmental Agreement") provides for the conduct and financing of such <br />coordinated election; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The proposed Intergovernmental Agreement, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the <br />attached Intergovernmental Agreement on behalf of the City of Louisville, except that <br />such persons are hereby further authorized to negotiate and approve such revisions to <br />the Intergovernmental Agreement as are determined necessary or desirable for the <br />protection of the City, so long as the essential terms and conditions of the <br />Intergovernmental Agreement are not altered. <br />Section 3. Pursuant to C.R.S. Section 31-10-102.7, the City will utilize the <br />requirements and procedures of the Uniform Election Code of 1992, articles 1 to 13 of <br />title 1, C.R.S., as amended, in lieu of the Colorado Municipal Election Code of 1965, <br />article 10 of title 31, C.R.S., as amended, with respect to the special election to be held <br />on November 5, 2024, and such election shall be conducted as part of the coordinated <br />mail ballot election. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of July, 2024 <br />ATTEST: <br />Meredyth Muth, City Clerk <br />Christoplr M.
