ORDINANCE NO. 1254 SERIES 1997 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 13 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO CLARIFY THAT WATER AND SEWER TAP PERMITS SHALL BE APPURTENANT TO THE PROPERTY FOR WHICH THE PERMITS ARE ISSUED, AND MAKING OTHER CONFORMING AMENDMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH WHEREAS, the City of Louisville (City) owns and operates municipal water and wastewater systems; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to clarify the requirement that a water or sewer tap permit must be used for service to property described in the permit, and to conform certain wording in the water and sewer tap ordinances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Section 13.12.010 of the Louisville Municipal Code is amended to read as follows (words to be added are capitalized; words to be deleted are stricken through) : 13.12.010 TAP Permit Required: A. No water tap shall be made upon any water main or any other portion of the waterworks of the City without first securing a permit therefor. The application for a water tap permit shall be made in writing upon a form furnished by the DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS City, OR THE DIRECTOR'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE, and shall state clearly the tap size, THE ADDRESS OR OTHER SUFFICIENT DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY TO BE SERVED, the address and name of the person applying for the tap, and any other information THAT .vyhich the DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS ~ may reasonably require. B. EACH WATER TAP PERMIT ISSUED BY THE CITY SHALL BE APPURTENANT TO, AND MAY NOT BE TRANSFERRED APART FROM, THE PROPERTY FOR WHICH THE PERMIT IS ISSUED. Section 2.
