<br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />Ordinance No.~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE BY PRO- <br />VIDING FOR INCREASE IN SALARY FOR THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, <br />COLORADO, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EMERGENCY THEREFOR. <br /> <br />Be It Ordained By the City Council of the City of Louisville, <br />Colorado, as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1: The following section of Chapter 4 of the MuniCipal <br />Code of the City of Louisvi'lle is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />114.5 City Clerk- Salary - Bond. A City clerk shall be <br />elected at each general municipal election. The city <br />clerk shall receive as full compensation for his ser- <br />vices as such clerk the sum of $10,200.00 per annum, <br />payable in equal monthly payments. Before entering <br />upon the duties of the office, the clerk shall furnish <br />a surety bond to be approved by council, in the amount <br />of $10,000.00, conditioned upon the faithful diSCharge <br />of his duties as city clerk and that when he shall va- <br />cate such office he will turn over and deliver to his <br />successor all r~naining monies, books, papers, property <br />or things belonging to the city and remaining in his <br />hands as such clerk. If the same person should serve <br />as both city cl eJrk and city coll ector, one surety bond <br />in the amount of $10,000.00 may be given to cover both <br />positions or offices.1I <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect January 1, 1976. <br /> <br />Section 3: Reasons for Emergency. In order to provide induce- <br />ment for qualified candidatl:~d for the elected officials set for November !i-, <br />1975, for the City of Louisville, it is deemed necessary to have this or- <br />dinance passed prior to the time candidates must file their candidacy <br />petitions. <br /> <br />Section 4: Emerg1ency.
