<br />\ \11\1\ 111\1\11\\11\1111\\11\\1\\11\11\ \\\11\11 \\1\ \11\ ~~;~~~:~~, . <br /> <br />Boulder County Clerk, CO RESOLUTION R 11.00 0 0.00 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 33 <br />SERIES 2005 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE LOUISVILLE CENTER FOR THE ARTS AN <br />HISTORIC LANDMARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an historic landmark <br />application for the Louisville Center for the Arts, located at 801 Grant Avenue, on property <br />legally described as Lots 5-11, Pleasant Hill Addition, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission have <br />reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code, including Section 15.36.050 (A), establishing criteria for landmark <br />designation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission has held a properly <br />noticed public hearing on the proposed landmark application and has forwarded to the City <br />Council a recommendation of approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed landmark application <br />and the Commission's recommendation and report, and has held a properly noticed public <br />hearing on the application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the building was constructed in 1905 and has not been significantly altered <br />since that time and the cupola on the building is historically accurate having been rebuilt in 2004 <br />from historic photographs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the building has social significance because it has served as a school, <br />community center, library, senior center and hospital; and <br /> <br />"VHEREAS, the City Council finds that these and other characteristics specific to the <br />individual structure are of both architectural and social significance as described in Section <br />15.36.050 (A) of the Louisville Municipal Code and justify the approval of the historic <br />landmark application. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />1. The proposed landmark application for the Louisville Center for the Arts is hereby <br />approved and the individual structure is hereby designated an historic landmark to be preserved <br />as such. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />i~l <br />'k..') v <br />
