<br />I \1111\ 111\11\1111111\ 111\\\ 11\\ 111\11\ III 1111\ \11\ 1111 ~~ ;~~t~:~, <br /> <br />Boulder County Clerk, CO RESOLUTION R 11.00 D 0.00 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 40 <br />SERIES 2005 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE JACOE STORE AN HISTORIC LANDMARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an historic landmark <br />application for the Jacoe Store, located at 1001 Main Street, on property legally described as Lots <br />1-4, Block 1, Barclay Place, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission have <br />reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code, including Section 15.36.050 (A), establishing criteria for landmark designation; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission has held a properly noticed <br />public hearing on the proposed landmark application and has forwarded to the City Council a <br />recommendation of approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed landmark application <br />and the Commission's recommendation and report, and has held a properly noticed public <br />hearing on the application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the building was constructed circa 1908 and has not been significantly <br />altered since that time and is a remaining example of a false front commercial building in the <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the building has social significance because of its use as a commercial site <br />in the City for the first half of the twentieth century and its association with the Jordinelli and <br />Tomeo families, whose members made significant contributions to the socio-economic <br />development of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that these and other characteristics specific to the <br />individual structure are of both architectural and social significance as described in Section <br />15.36.050 (A) of the Louisville Municipal Code and justify the approval of the historic landmark <br />application. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />1.
