Recorded as received <br />RESOLUTION NO. 32 <br />SERIES 2016 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ICONIC SIGN DESIGNATION FOR THE FORMER <br />STANDARD OIL SIGN LOCATED AT 947 PINE STREET <br />WHEREAS, an application requesting an Iconic Sign eligibility determination for <br />the former Standard Oil sign located at 947 Pine Street was submitted to the Louisville <br />Historic Preservation Commission (HPC), on property legally described ELY 95 FT <br />LOTS 5 & 6 & ELY 95 FT OF SLY 13 FT LOT 4 LESS MIN BLK 3, Town of Louisville, <br />City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC held a properly noticed public hearing on May 16, 2016 on <br />the proposed Iconic Sign application, where evidence and testimony were entered into <br />the record, including the findings in the HPC Staff Report dated May 16, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance <br />with the Downtown Sign Manual, establishing criteria for Iconic Sign designation, and <br />that the sign exhibits rare characteristics that contribute to the streetscape and the <br />City's unique character, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the application and recommendation <br />of the HPC and finds that the application meets the requirements for an Iconic Sign <br />Designation. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado does hereby approve Resolution No. 32, Series 2016, a resolution <br />approving an Iconic Sign at 947 Pine Street with the following condition: <br />1. Include illumination with illumination to extend only to the exterior edge of the <br />sign and to internal illumination of the clover leaf and stem and shamrock letters, <br />to subtly re -enforce the iconic shape of the sign, with the dark background to not <br />be illuminated. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of July, 20 <br />Att <br />By: <br />obert P.
