<br />CityCouncil <br />Study Session Summary <br />February 23, 2010 <br />Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />7:00 <br />PM <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session at 7:00 p.m. in <br />st <br />the 1Floor Library Meeting Room, 851 SpruceStreet, Louisville, Colorado. The <br />following persons were present - <br />City CouncilPresent:Mayor Pro Tem Sheri Marsella <br />Bob Muckle <br />Ron Sackett <br /> City Council Absent:Mayor Chuck Sisk <br />Frost Yarnell <br />Dave Calbots <br />Hank Dalton <br /> Staff Present: Malcolm Fleming, City Manager <br />Rhonda Welborn, Executive Assistant <br />Bruce Goodman, Chief of Police <br />Sean McCartney, Principal Planner <br />Historical Preservation Commission Presentation <br />HPC members presented an overview of achievements for 2009. HPC members <br />and Council members discussed the status of the Hecla Casino Mine and the <br />Grain Elevator plan. The Hecla Mine has been purchased and is expected to be <br />converted into a Community Center in Lafayette. HPC members indicated that <br />an intensive level of research has been conducted of the historic preservation <br />overlays, land-marking buildings, and design standard updates. Direct outreach <br />and incentive programs will continue, although public information needs to be <br />strengthened.
