<br /> RESOLUTION NO. 23 <br /> SERIES 2006 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDED FINAL PLANNED UNIT <br /> DEVELOPMENT (PUD) PLAN RELATED TO PROJECT MONUMENT AND WALL <br /> SIGNAGE FOR CHRISTOPHER PLAZA, LOT 8, CHRISTOPHER VILLAGE, <br /> FOURTH FILING <br /> WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville City Council, a request for an <br /> amended final PUD development plan for an amended sign program for Christopher Plaza, Lot 8, <br /> Christopher Village, Fourth Filing; and <br /> WHEREAS, all materials related to the final PUD development plan have been <br /> reviewed by City Staff and the Planning Commission and found, to be in compliance with the <br /> Louisville zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, the Commercial Development Design <br /> Standards and Guidelines, related policies and previous approvals; and <br /> WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearings concerning said amendment to a final <br /> PUD development plan on March 9,2006, and April 20, 2006 where evidence and testimony <br /> were entered into the public record, including the Staff Reports dated March 9, 2006, and <br /> April 20, 2006 the Planning Commission recommended approval to the City Council, with <br /> conditions; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed the application, including the recommendation <br /> of the Planning Commission and finds that the application should be approved, with the <br /> following conditions, as follows: <br /> 1. The monument signs shall be approved as submitted with the following conditions: <br /> a. Character heights shall be limited to an 8-inch minimum for primary text and 3-inch <br /> minimum for secondary text; <br /> b. Maximum total size for each sign face shall not exceed 60 SF; <br /> c. Background panel material to be opaque (only characters or logos may illuminate); <br /> d. Minimum individual tenant panel size shall be 5 SF; and <br /> e. The sign panels shall incorporate the following sign consistency design elements: 1) <br /> uniform tenant panel size; and 2) uniform background color as depicted in Concept <br /> #2. <br /> 2. The monument sign along South Boulder Road shall be constructed (or reconstructed if <br /> needed) to allow for underground utilities to go underneath the structure. Structural <br /> support shall be designed of two caissons (or similar design as approved by the City's <br /> Chief Building Official) to more readily accommodate underground utilities. <br /> 3. The property owner shall enter into a City-standard Revocable License Agreement that <br /> allows the sign to be located in the easement, but reserve the City's right to use the <br /> easement for other general public purposes and also holds the City harmless for any <br /> damage that might occur to the structure in our use of the easement. <br />
