<br />RESOLUTION NO. 10 <br />SERIES 2007 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE TOWN OF SUPERIOR REGARDING CONTRIBUTIONS FOR LIBRARY <br />SERVICES AND PLANNING FOR LIBRARY AND RECREATIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville ("Louisville") and the Board of <br />Trustees of the Town of Superior ("Superior") have been discussing potential contributions by <br />Superior to the costs oflibrary services provided by Louisville to Superior residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Louisville and Superior have also been discussing issues related to the use of <br />and allocation of costs for library and recreation services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement has been proposed between Louisville and <br />Superior to provide for contributions by Superior to library services provided by Louisville in 2007 <br />and 2008, and to provide for the establishment of joint task forces consisting of representatives <br />from Louisville and Superior to timher study issues related to the provision of library and <br />recreational services; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is authorized to enter into such agreement pursuant to state law, <br />including but not limited to C.R.S. Sections 29-1-201 et seq.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />1. The proposed Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Louisville and the <br />Town of Superior, for 2007 and 2008 contributions by Superior to Louisville for library services, <br />and for establishment of joint task forces to further study issues of mutual interest related to the <br />provision of library and recreational services, is hereby approved in essentially the same form as the <br />copy of such Agreement accompanying this Resolution. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Intergovernmental Agreement on <br />behalf of the City Council of the City of Louisville, except that the Mayor is hereby granted the <br />authority to negotiate and approve such revisions to said Agreement as the Mayor determines are <br />sary or desirable for the protection of the City, so long as the essential terms and conditions of <br />~ \'9.~4~ ment are not altered. <br />O.~..,.
