ORDIN)~NCE NO. ._1 7 )/ AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 4.5 OF CHAPTER 4 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLO- RADO, ENTITLED" CITY CLERK --SALARY --BOND". BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. THAT the following sections of Chapter 4 of the Municipal Code of the City of Louisville, Color'ado, be amended to read as follows: "4.5 City Clerk - Salary - Bond. A city clerk shall be elected at each general municipal election. The city clerk shall receive as full compensation for his services as such clerk the sum of $5,700.00 per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly payments. Before enter- ing upon the duties of the office, the clerk shall furnish a surety bond to be approved by council, in the amount of $ 10,000.00, conditioned upon the faithful discharge of his duties as city clerk and that when he shall vacate such office he will turn over and deliver to his suc- cessor all monies, books, papers, property or things belonging to the city and remaining in his hands as such clerk. If the same person should serve as both city clerk and city collector, one surety bond in the amount of $ 10,000.00 may be given to cover both positions or offices. " Section 2. This Ordinance shall be effective as of January 1, 1970. Section 3. THAT all other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances or pro- visions of the Municipal Code of the City of Louisville in conflict with this Or- dinance are hereby repealed.
