<br />OHDINAJ.'~CE NO. .1i? <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO CmJ'I'RACT AN INDEBTEDNESS <br />ON BEHl~F OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLO- <br />RADO, l\.ND UPON THE CREDIT THEHEOF BY ISSUING <br />GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF SAID CITY IN <br />THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $300,000, FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF SUPPLYING THE CITY WITH WATER <br />BY EXTENDING AND IMPROVING THE WATERWORKS <br />SYSTEM OF THE CITY; PHESCRIBING THE FO&~ <br />OF THE BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF <br />TAXES 'I'O PAY THE BONDS AND THE Ii~TEREST. <br />THEREON; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a majority of the taxpaying electors of the <br /> <br />City of Louisville, COlorado, voting on the question at an election <br /> <br />heretofore held in said City, by their vote approved and authorized <br /> <br />the City Council of the City to erect a system of waterworks for <br /> <br />fire and domestic purposes, the same to be owned and operated by <br /> <br />the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City did erect and for many years has owned, <br /> <br />operated and maintained a system of waterworks for the purpose of <br /> <br />supplying the City and its inhabitants with water for fire and <br /> <br />domestic purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to extend and improve the water <br /> <br />system in order to supply the City and its inhabitants with a pro- <br /> <br />per and adequate supply of water; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are not sufficient funds in the treasury <br /> <br />of the City for such extensions and improvements and the City Coun- <br /> <br />cil has determined thai: it necessary and advisable to issue general <br /> <br />obligation negotiable coupon bonds of the City in the amount of <br /> <br />$300,000 for that purpose; <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />WILLSON 8: LAMM <br />ATTORNEYS AT LAW <br />DENVER, COLORADO <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
