<br />HIlEREAS, the City of Louisville Council lias determined that it is
<br />necessary and expedient that a fire code for. the City of Louisville oe adopted
<br />in order to integrate all of the other recently adopted building plumbing
<br />codes for the Ci ty of Lou'( svl1l e, and
<br />
<br />WlEREAS, the statute~i of the State of Colorado provide for the adopt10n
<br />of such codes by referencl~, therefore,

<br />Be it Ordained. by tl1l!City Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado:

<br />S~cti on 1. Pursuant to the pO'iler and lluthori ty conferred by the 1 a'i'S
<br />of the State of Colorado, there is hereby adopted as the fire cede of the City
<br />of Louisville, by reference thereto, the Uniform Fire COt:c, 1971 Edition, as
<br />pror.1ulgatcd by International Conference of Building Officials, 50 South Los
<br />robles, Pasadena, California 91101 and Hestern Fire Chiefs t\ssociatio;),
<br />P. O. Box 842, San Leandro, Cali forni a 94577. . The adopted code has cOr.iprehen-
<br />sivc provisions and standards governing the maintenance of buildings and
<br />premises to safeguard l1fl~, health, pr.operty and public welfare by regulating
<br />the storage, use and Ilandling of dangerous and hazardous substances, Datcrials
<br />and processes, and by regulating the maintenance of adequate egress facilities
<br />and for conditions hazard()us to life or property in the use of or occupancy
<br />of buil di ngs or prelni ses. ...

<br />Section 2. Any and iill sections or parts of sections of any OrG1nanCes
<br />or parts of ordinances or of the Code of the City of Louisville as ar.12;,d~d in
<br />conflict or inconsistent herewith or hereby repealed, provided hm'lever, that
<br />the repeal of any sections or parts of sections of the Code of the City of
<br />Louisville, Colorado as amended, or of any ordinances or parts of ordinar.ces
<br />'of the City of Louisville shall not revive any other section of said code, ordin-
<br />ance or ordinances heretolfor repealed or superseded.

<br />Section 3. A public hearing on the adoption by reference thereto
<br />of the Uniform Fire Code of the International Conference of Buildin~ Official$
<br />and \.lestern Fire Chiefs Association, 1971 Edition, be and the sa~~ is :~creby
<br />scheduled at City Hall. Louisville, Colorado, at 7:30 O'clock P.:l. on t!1i~
<br />4th day of April, 1972, and that the City Clerk of the City of Louisville, be
<br />and she is hereby directed to publiSh notice of said public hearing in the
<br />manner and style and pursuant to the schedule for such publication prescribed
<br />in C.R.S. 139-34-3 (1963).
