<br /> <br />U-. -...^' / <br />-- ~ <br />"'r,~# <br /> <br />iV; <br />..1<' <br /> <br />~.T <br /> <br />-\.. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. .J J-I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE REVISION AND CODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCES <br />OF THE TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, COLORAOO; ESTABLISHING A CC>>4MITTEE FOR ORDINANCE <br />REVISION AND CODIFICATION; AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS OF THE TOWN <br />OF LOUISVILLE IN A SUM CERTAIN AS THE ESTIMATED COST OF ORDINANCE REVISION, <br />CODIFICATION AND PUBLICATION; AND THE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY THEREOF. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Town of Louisville, by Executive Order of the Governor of <br /> <br />the State of Colorado and the Secretary of State of the State of Colorado, on <br /> <br />the 18th day of July, 1961 caused a statement to be published according to <br /> <br />law showing that the Town of Louisville is entitled to become a City of the <br /> <br />second class, and directing said Town to organize into a City of the second <br /> <br />class at its next regular period for election of the municipal officers of the <br /> <br />Town of Louisville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The next regular period for election of municipal officers of <br /> <br />the Town of Louisville is on April 3rd, 1962, and after such election the <br /> <br />Town of Louisville will become a City of the second class under the statutes <br /> <br />of the State of Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Town Board of the Town of Louisville. Colorado, <br /> <br />has caused to be made a survey as to the efficacy of the body of law presently <br /> <br />existing in the Town of Louisville by reason of the unrepealed presence there- <br /> <br />of in the Town records; said survey was deemed necessary and essential by the <br /> <br />Board of Trustees by reason of the present growth and expansion and deve10p_ <br /> <br />ment of Boulder County and of the Town of Louisville during the last twenty <br /> <br />years. and because the Ordinances and other legislation applicable within <br /> <br />the corporate juriSdiction of the Town of Louisville have not been compiled <br /> <br />or recodified for over fifty years, so that the presently existing law in the <br /> <br />Town of Louisville in many respects is obsolete and is in such a condition <br /> <br />as would make it impossible in many circumstances to properly enforce. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Town Board of the Town of Louis- <br /> <br />I vH1e: <br /> <br />Section 1.
