AMENDED AND RESTATED BYLAWS OF <br />THE LOUISVILLE HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br />ARTICLE I <br />The Commission <br />Section 1. Introduction. These Amended and Restated Bylaws ( "Bylaws ") of the <br />Louisville Historical Commission ( "Commission ") are adopted pursuant to the authority <br />stated in Resolution No. 12, Series 1979; Resolution No. 6, Series 2001; and Resolution <br />No. 3, Series 2004. These Bylaws replace any previous Bylaws for the Louisville <br />Historical Commission. <br />Section 2. Office. The office of the Commission shall be considered the <br />Louisville City Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80027, or such other place in the <br />City of Louisville, Colorado as the City Manager may designate from time to time. <br />Section 1 Purpose and Duties. <br />A. Advisory. Except as otherwise provided by City Charter or Municipal Code, <br />the Commission shall be advisory in character. <br />B. Duties. The role of the Commission will include, but not be limited to: <br />(i) Advising the City Council on such matters related to the Louisville <br />Historical Museum, including the mission of the Louisville Historical <br />Museum and the preservation of photos, documents, and artifacts <br />at the Louisville Historical Museum and other City facilities; and <br />(ii) Raising funds to supplement the City's support of the Louisville <br />Historical Museum, including oversight and approval of <br />Commission budget expenditures and sponsoring fund raising <br />events for the benefit of the Museum. <br />ARTICLE II <br />Members <br />Section 1. Number of Members. The Commission shall consist of ten (10) <br />members whom City Council shall appoint <br />Section 2. Residency Requirement. Members shall be residents of the City at <br />the time of their appointment and at all times while serving on the Commission <br />(Louisville Home Rule Charter Section 10 -2c). <br />Page 1 of 9 <br />
