III111111IIII111111111 IIIIIIIIIII III 09211629 <br /> 03/23/2012 11:50 AM RF:516.00 OF:50.00 <br /> Boulder County Clerk,CO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 24 <br /> SERIES 2012 <br /> A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE HIBLER HOUSE LOCATED AT 612 GRANT <br /> AVENUE AN HISTORIC LANDMARK <br /> WHEREAS, an historic landmark application for the Hibler House, located at 612 <br /> Grant Avenue, on property legally described as all of Lot 8 and South '/2 of Lot 7, Block • <br /> 12, Pleasant Hill Addition; has been submitted to the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission <br /> have reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of <br /> the Louisville Municipal Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission held a properly <br /> noticed public hearing on the proposed landmark application and has forwarded to the City <br /> Council a recommendation of approval; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed landmark <br /> application and the Commission's recommendation and report, and has held a properly <br /> noticed public hearing on the application; and <br /> WHEREAS, the building was constructed between 1905 and 1909, and has <br /> retained its architectural form; and <br /> WHEREAS, the building has social significance because of its association with <br /> the Hibler family, used this structure as a rental for miners of the Acme mine which had <br /> significant contributions to the development of the City throughout the twentieth century; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that these and other characteristics specific to <br /> the individual structure are of both architectural and social significance as described in <br /> Section 15.36.050 (A) of the Louisville Municipal Code and justify the approval of the <br /> historic landmark application. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> 1. The proposed historic landmark application for the Hibler House is hereby <br /> approved and the individual structure is hereby designated an historic <br /> landmark to be preserved as such. <br /> Resolution No. 24, Series 2012 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
