<br />ORDINANCE NO. 1209 <br />SERIES 1996 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14.20 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO PERMIT THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ASSOCIATE <br />MEMBER TO THE TREE BOARD. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be beneficial to <br />the City to create a position of associate member to the City Tree <br />Board. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Chapter 14.20 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended by adding the following new section 14.20.045: <br /> <br />14.20.045 Associate member. <br />In addition to the regular members of the city tree <br />board, the mayor may appoint one associate member for a <br />term of two years. The associate member shall serve <br />wi thout compensation. In the event that any regular <br />member of the tree board is temporarily unable to act <br />owing to absence from the city, illness, interest in a <br />matter before the tree board, or any other cause, the <br />absent member's place may be taken during such time by <br />the associate member who shall have all the powers of a <br />regular member while serving in the place of a regular <br />member. <br /> <br />Section 2.
