I: City Council Study Session Summary April 12, 2005 City Hall, Council Chambers 749 Main Street 7:00 PM City of Louisville The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were present - City Council Present: Mayor Pro-Tem Jay Keany, Dave Clabots, Arnie Levihn, Sheri Marsella, Michele Van Pelt, and Don Brown (arrived at 7:35 p.m.) City Council Absent: Mayor Charles Sisk Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager Heather Balser, Asst. City Manager for Govt. Relations Julie Boyd, Deputy City Manager Belinda Goebel, Administrative Assistant Discussion - Centennial Pavilion Lofts Affordable Unit Eligibility Standards Heather Balser explained that the Boulder County Housing Authority (BCHA) staff proposed establishing a program to ensure that the eligibility standards for the affordable units at Centennial Pavilion Lofts are met for eligible buyers. BCHA would be acting as a third-party administrator for the program. The cost for these services would be $50 per hour and $250 per closing for 2005, which mirrors the current costs of the City of Lafayette affordable housing program. A maximum of $7,000 could be set and if there is a need for additional dollars, BCHA would approach the Louisville Housing Authority Board and Louisville City Council at that time. Council member Sheri Marsella stated that there is a need to put together a good program for home ownership. She felt this would be a good learning experience and that the City wouldn't lose anything in the long run. It was agreed to draft a proposal and present it to Council for review.
