<br />Historical Commission <br />Subcommittee Agenda <br />February 15, 2013 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />Board Room (Second Floor) <br />951 Spruce St. <br />10:30 AM <br />Members of the Historical Commission will meet regarding the Commission’s decision at <br />its April 18, 2012 meeting to actively pursue the creation of a separate 501c3 foundation. <br />(Currently, the Historical Commission is both an advisory board to City Council and a <br />501c3 nonprofit corporation.) <br />At a previous subcommittee meeting, Commission attendees signed up to collect <br />information from other museum foundations that raise funds for city-owned museums in <br />our area. At this meeting, members of the subcommittee will: <br /> Continue to discuss the information that they have obtained from other museum <br />foundations; <br /> Work on drafting foundation bylaws to propose to the Commission; <br /> Discuss names to propose for the foundation and for the membership; <br /> Discuss mission statements for the Commission and the new foundation; <br /> Decide how to compile/report the information for the Commission as a whole; and <br /> Discuss additional steps in the process. <br />City of Louisville <br />Louisville Historical Museum <br />749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303-665-9048 (phone) 303-335-4550 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov <br />
