<br />RESOLUTION NO.2 <br />SERIES 2005 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE AND THE DUTKO GROUP, LLC TO FURNISH LOBBYIST SERVICES <br />TO THE US 36 MAYORS AND COMMISSIONERS COALITION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the US 36 Mayors and Commissioners Coalition, hereinafter referred to as <br />the "US 36 MCC," wishes to better promote its position on US 36 transportation issues of <br />concern at the regional, state and federal levels, be it legislative, regulatory, or other; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and the US 36 MCC desire that the City act on behalf of the US 36 <br />MCC in engaging a lobbyist to render professional lobbying services in connection with such US <br />36 transportation issues; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cities of Boulder, Westminster, Superior, and Louisville, the City and <br />County of Broomfield, and Boulder County have agreed to mutually participate in the funding of <br />the lobbyist; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement has been proposed between the City and The Dutko Group, <br />LLC, for the provision of such lobbying services for a one-year period commencing February 15, <br />2005. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />I. The Proposed Agreement to Furnish Lobbyist Services to the US 36 Mayors and <br />Commissioners Coalition between the City of Louisville and The Dutko Group, LLC, <br />(Agreement"), for the provision of such services for a one-year period commencing February 15, <br />2005, is hereby approved in essentially the same form as the copy of such Agreement <br />accompanying this Resolution. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City, except that <br />the Mayor is hereby further granted authority to negotiate and approve such revisions to said <br />Agreement as the Mayor determines are necessary or desirable for the protection of the City, so <br />long as the essential terms and conditions of the Agreement are not altered. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day ofJanuary, 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />
