<br />101242695 11/24/92 03:20 PM REAL ESTATE RECORDS <br />F1779 CHARLOTTE HOUSTON BOULDER CNTY CO RECORDER <br /> <br />y -( <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1086 <br />SERIES 1992 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING DISMANTLED OR INOPERATIVE VEHICLES. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville finds it <br />is in the best interests of the City to provide for more effective <br />enforcement of regulations relating to inoperable vehicles in order <br />to protect the health and safety of its citizens and avoid a <br />blighting influence which may cause a loss in property value to <br />surrounding property. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 8.16.040 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read: <br /> <br />8.16.040. Regulation of inoperable vehicles and vehicle <br />repair work. <br /> <br />A. Except as specifically provided in this section, it <br />is unlawful for any person, whether as owner, <br />lessee, or person in possession or control to park, <br />store or leave, or permit to be parked, stored or <br />left any inoperable vehicle on any lot or land <br />within the City for a period of time in excess of <br />seventy-two hours, or for any person to park, store <br />or leave any inoperable vehicle on any public <br />right-of-way or other public property within the <br />City for a period of time in excess of seventy-two <br />hours. The presence of an inoperable vehicle, or <br />partially dismantled vehicle parts thereof, on <br />public or private property in violation of this <br />section is declared a public nuisance. <br /> <br />B. Except as specifically provided in this section, it <br />is unlawful for any person to repair or work on any <br />motor vehicle or, as owner, lessee, tenant, or <br />occupant of any lot or land wi thin the City, to <br />permit such repair or work on such lot or land, <br />unless the repair or work is conducted in a fully <br />enclosed structure and in such a manner so as not <br />to create a safety, health or fire hazard. This <br />subsection B shall not apply to minor repair and <br />maintenance of a motor vehicle such as, by way of <br />example, the changing of oil, sparkplugs, and <br /> <br />1 <br />
