r r ~ ; CITY OF LOUISVILLE Resolution No. 23 Series 1D76 FIHEREAS, the City of Louisville has received in the past ar.d expects to receive in the future, certain monies under HUD Community Dlock Grant Program, and; WHEREAS, under the provisions of said Grant it is required of the City to establish certain safeguards to prohibit employees from using a position fora purpose that is, or gives the appearance of being motivated by a desire for private gain for themselves or others, particularly these with whom they have family, business or other, ties, and; WHEREAS, the Grant further requires that there now shall be no conflict of interest as provided in paragraph 11 of the Grant Agreement which states: "No member, officer, or employee of the grantee, or its designees or agents, no member of the governing body of the locality in which the program is situated, and no other public official of such locality or localities who exercises any functions or responsibilities with respect to the program during his tenure or for ene year thereafter, shall have any interest, dir`ct or in- direct, in any contract or sub-contract, or the proceeds thereof, for work to be performed in connection with the program assisted under the agreement. The grantee shall incorporate, or cause to be incorporated, in all such contracts or sub-contracts a provision prohibiting, such interest pursuant to the purposes of this section." AND, WHEP,EAS, the City of Louisville desires to abide by said provisions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Louisville adepts the following guidelines and requests that the Louisville Urban Rene~Nal Authoriity adopt the same: 1. That all officers and employees of the City of Louisville must recognize that their responsibility in conducting the Community Development Program, is primarily to the community as a tivhole.
