Historic Preservation Commission <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Heather Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM. <br />April 21, 2008 <br />City Hall <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 PM <br />Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present: <br />Mike Koertje, Heather Lewis, Greg McMenamin, Laurel Tofte, and <br />Stephen Whiteman <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Todd Menza and Melanie Julian Muckle <br />City Representatives: <br />Meredyth Muth, Public Relations Manager <br />Introduction of New Member Todd Menza -Menza was not in attendance. <br />Approval of Agenda -McMenamin moved to approve the agenda, Koertje seconded <br />the motion. All in agreement. <br />Approval of March 19 Minutes <br />Koertje had one amendment to the minutes from March 19. Koertje moved to approve <br />the minutes as amended, Tofte seconded the motion. All in agreement. <br />Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda -None. <br />Cemetery Master Plan Report/Discussion <br />McMenamin noted that he has been hired by the City for this project and therefore <br />recused himself from the meeting and left the room. <br />Kathy Kron, Project Manager for Parks & Recreation, reported that the City is currently <br />working on a new master plan for the cemetery that will include a phased approach for <br />expansion, fencing improvements, and new signage. She noted that the City has hired <br />an eight-member team for the project with specific cemetery experience. <br />Kron introduced Lane Ledbetter of CPRA Studio. Ledbetter stated that they are in the <br />early stages of planning. They are considering items such as a cremation gardens, a <br />children's burial area, and a new veteran's memorial section.
