<br />IIIIII IIIII 292586$ <br />IIIIIIIIIII Page: 1 of 2 <br />IIII IIIIII <br />IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />IIIIII <br />04/28/2008 08:59A <br />Boulder County Clerk, CO RESOLUTION R 11.00 D 0.00 <br />RESOLUTION No. 15 <br />SERIES 2008 <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE JANNUCCI HOUSE, 1116 LAFARGE AVENUE, <br />AN HISTORIC LANDMARK <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an historic landmark <br />application for the Jannucci House, located at 1116 LaFarge Avenue, on property legally <br />described as Lots 19-20, Barclay Place, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, City Staff and the Historic Preservation Commission have reviewed the <br />application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code, including Sections 15.36.050(A) and 15.36.050((:), establishing criteria for landmark <br />designation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission has held a properly <br />noticed public hearing on the proposed landmark application and has forwarded to the City <br />Council a recommendation of approval; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed landmark application <br />and the Commission's recommendation, and has held a properly noticed public hearing on <br />the application; and <br />WHEREAS, the building has architectural significance as it was constructed in 1908 <br />and has not been significantly altered since that time ar~d is one of the few remaining brick <br />structures of that era; and <br />WHEREAS, the building has social historic significance for its association with <br />Louisville's early settlement by Italian immigrants and for the commercial use of the site as <br />a "macaroni factory;" and <br />WHEREAS, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in <br />1986; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that these and other characteristics specific to the <br />individual structure are of both architectural and social significance as described in Section <br />15.36.050 (A) and Section 15.36.050 (C) of the Louisville Municipal Code and justify the <br />approval of the historic landmark application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The proposed historic landmark application for the Jannucci House is hereby <br />approved and the individual structure is hereby desic~nated an historic landmark to be <br />preserved as such. <br />
