RESOLUTION NO. 22 <br />SERIES 2016 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN BOULDER COUNTY AND THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE CONCERNING <br />BOULDER COUNTY'S ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY MATCHING GRANT <br />PROGRAM FOR A RESIDENTIAL OUTDOOR IRRIGATION WATER <br />CONSERVATION PILOT PROGRAM AND BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Constitution Article XIV, Section 18(2)(a) and C.R.S. Section <br />29 -1 -201, et. seq. provide that political subdivisions of the State may contract with one another to <br />provide any function, service, or facility lawfully authorized to each of the cooperating units; and <br />WHEREAS, Boulder County has created and implemented the Sustainability Matching <br />Grant Program (the "Program "), which provides an opportunity for governmental organizations <br />within Boulder County to undertake environmental sustainability priorities within their <br />communities and helps the county leverage resources for a collaborative, regional approach to <br />environmental sustainability; and <br />WHEREAS, Boulder County has selected the City of Louisville as a recipient of the <br />sustainability grant award under the Program for a residential outdoor irrigation water conservation <br />pilot program and recognition for business sustainability improvement; and <br />WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement has been proposed between the City and <br />Boulder County for administration of the $15,000.00 grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is authorized by law to enter into such an intergovernmental <br />agreement, and the City Council finds and determines that execution of the proposed agreement is <br />in the best interest of the City and its citizens; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The City Council hereby approves that certain Intergovernmental Agreement <br />between the City of Louisville and Boulder County Concerning Boulder County's Environmental <br />Sustainability Matching Grant Program for a residential outdoor irrigation water conservation <br />pilot program and recognition for business sustainability improvements (the "IGA "), in <br />substantially the same form as the copy of such IGA accompanying this Resolution. <br />2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the IGA on behalf of the City Council of <br />the City of Louisville, except that the Mayor is hereby further authorized to negotiate and approve <br />such revisions to the IGA as the Mayor determines are necessary or desirable for the protection of <br />Resolution No. 22, Series 2016 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
