<br />Job Descriptions <br /> <br />Board members: <br />o All duties as stated in the Bylaws for the Louisville Cultural Council. <br />o Determine organization's mission and purpose. <br />o Assist in planning and executing the board's goals. <br />o Serve on committees as necessary. <br />o Determine, monitor and strengthen LCC' s programs and services. Ensure programs <br />are consistent with the mission and are monitored for effectiveness. <br />o Provide financial oversight. Board members must understand and vote on the yearly <br />budget for LCC and on individual expenditures. <br />o Write grants, solicit donations and sponsorships and other fundraising as necessary. <br />o Provide event reports with program and financial information shortly after events <br />occur. <br />o Commit to attending most monthly meetings in a year. <br />o Review agenda and attachments before meetings. <br /> <br />President: <br />o All duties as stated in the Bylaws for the Louisville Cultural Council. <br />o Oversees monthly meetings. <br />o Prepares agendas for monthly meetings. <br />o Acts as second signer on LCC checking account. <br />o Ensures board resolutions are carried out. <br />o Acts as a spokesperson for the board. <br />o Provides orientation for new members. <br />o Works with City Staff as necessary. <br />o Consults with board members as necessary. <br /> <br />Treasurer: <br />o All duties as stated in the Bylaws for the Louisville Cultural Council. <br />o Keeps the books for LCC in accordance with good financial accounting practices for <br />non-profits. <br />o Prepares the annual budget for voting on by the board members. <br />o Provides periodic financial reports as specified by the board - monthly, bimonthly, <br />other. <br />o Acts as primary check signer. <br />o Keeps receipts and event reports. <br />o Provides necessary financial reports for grants such as SCFD. <br />
