ORDINANCE NO. 1738 <br />SERIES 2017 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 2.08 AND 2.12 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCLUDE THE BENEFITS THE MAYOR AND <br />COUNCILMEMBERS SHALL RECEIVE IN ADDITION TO THEIR SALARIES <br />WHEREAS, Section 3-5 of the home rule charter provides the mayor and each <br />councilmember shall receive the salary and benefits prescnbed by Ordinance. <br />WHEREAS, Section 2.08.030 of the Louisville Mumcipal Code states the salary for the <br />Mayor and Section 2.12 070 of the Louisville Municipal Code states the salary for councilmembers, <br />but the Louisville Municipal Code is silent as to the benefits the Mayor and councilmembers are to <br />receive. <br />WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend Section 2.08.030 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code and Section 2 12 070 to prescribe the benefits that the Mayor and councilmembers shall <br />receive in addition to their salary. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1.Section 2 08 030 of the Louisville Mumcipal Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows (words deleted are st en --through, added are underlined): <br />2.08.030. Salary. <br />The mayor shall receive as full compensation for his or her services, a salary of <br />A400-00 $13,320 00 per year, payable in monthly payments, and in addition to <br />such salary benefits to include an annual membership to the Louisville Recreation <br />Center, membership in the City's health insurance programs in which any premiums <br />will be paid by the mayor, and the option to contribute to a 457 account through the <br />City's retirement plan. <br />Section 2 Section 2 12 070 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows (words added are underlined) <br />2.08.070. Salary. <br />Each councilmember shall receive as full compensation for his or her services the <br />sum of $31009700 $11,664.00 per year, payable in monthly payments, and in <br />addition to such salary, benefits to include an annual membership to the Louisville <br />Recreation Center, membership in the City's health insurance programs in which <br />any premiums will be paid by the councilmember and the option to contribute to a <br />457 account through the City's retirement plan <br />Section 3 All other ordinances or portions thereof inconsistent or conflicting with this <br />Ordinance No 1738, Series 2017 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
