Historic Preservation Commission <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Heather Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. <br />Duly 21, Zoos <br />City Hall <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 PM <br />Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present: <br />Mike Koertje, Heather Lewis, Greg McMenamin, Melanie Julian Muckle, <br />and Laurel Tofte <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Todd Menza and Stephen Whiteman <br />City Representatives: <br />Meredyth Muth, Public Relations Manager <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Koertje moved to approve the agenda, Tofte seconded in the motion. It was unanimously <br />approved. <br />Approval of Minutes -May 19, 2008 <br />Tofte noted that she was not at the meeting and asked to be listed as such. McMenamin <br />moved to approve the minutes, Koertje seconded in the motion. It was unanimously <br />approved. <br />Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda -None <br />PUBLIC HEARING -Demolition Request 824 South Place <br />Lewis opened the public hearing and asked for a staff report. <br />Muth reported that the applicant was out of town and has requested that the hearing be <br />continued to August 18 when she will be able to attend the meeting. <br />Koertje noted that in the materials the applicant stated her wish to discuss options for the <br />site with the HPC. Koertje asked if the applicant was aware that the HPC cannot dictate <br />or review uses for the site, but can only discuss the possible historic nature of the <br />existing building. <br />Muth reported that the applicant is aware of that. <br />Lewis asked for any public comments.
