RESOLUTION NO. 5 <br />SERIES 2018 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE AND THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL AFFAIRS FOR THE <br />LOUISVILLE REC/SENIOR CENTER EXPANSION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville has applied for and been awarded an Energy and <br />Mineral Impact Assistance Fund grant for $825,000 for funding the construction of the <br />Multi Activity Gymnasium (M.A.C.) as part of the Louisville Rec/Senior Center expansion, <br />subject to the execution of a grant contract; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to accept such grant and authorize execution of a <br />grant contract for such funds. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1 The City Council hereby approves that certain Grant Agreement between <br />the City of Louisville and the State Department of Local Affairs for the Energy and <br />Mineral Impact Assistance Fund grant awarded to the City for the Louisville <br />Recreation/Senior Center Expansion project under Project/Award Number. EIAF #8550 <br />by letter dated December 5, 2017, in the form of such Grant Agreement accompanying <br />this resolution <br />2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute such Grant Agreement on <br />behalf of the City Council of the City of Louisville, except that the Mayor is hereby <br />further authorized to negotiate and approve such revisions to said Grant Agreement as <br />the Mayor determines are necessary or desirable for the protection of the City, so long <br />as the essential terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement are not altered. <br />3. The Mayor, City Manager, City Clerk, and City staff are hereby authorized <br />and directed to execute all documents and do all other things necessary on behalf of the <br />City to effect the provisions of the Grant Agreement and perform the obligations of the <br />City thereunder, including but not limited to execution and delivery of all certifications, <br />reports, forms, Option Letters, contract amendments and other documents appropnate <br />or required in connection with the Grant Agreement and completion of the City project to <br />be funded in part with funds received under the Grant Agreement. <br />4. All action heretofore taken in furtherance of the purposes of the Grant <br />Agreement are hereby ratified and confirmed. <br />5.
