RESOLUTION NO. 14 <br />SERIES 2018 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />FORUM AGREEMENT WITH BOULDER COUNTY AND MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN <br />BOULDER COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, the Denver Regional Council of Governments ("DRCOG") allocates funding <br />for transportation programs through a Transportation Improvement Program ("TIP"), and <br />WHEREAS, DRCOG recently modified its TIP funding process to allocate fundmg to <br />certain subregions and to require counties and municipalities to propose a portfolio of projects <br />eligible for regional and subregional funding, and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to coordinate with the County and other Boulder <br />County municipalities to implement the regional and subregional funding allocation process for <br />the DRCOG TIP, and <br />WHEREAS, an Intergovernmental Agreement ("IGA") has been proposed to address the <br />manner in which the transportation planning efforts m Boulder County will be coordmated for <br />the purpose of submitting project funding requests to DRCOG; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties to the IGA are authorized to enter mto the IGA pursuant to state <br />law, includmg but not limited to C R S § 29-1-201 et sec , and the City Council by this Resolution <br />desires to approve said IGA and authorize its execution, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The Transportation Improvement Program Forum Agreement between the City of <br />Louisville, Boulder County and Boulder County municipalities (the "IGA") is hereby approved m <br />essentially the same form as the copy of such IGA accompanymg this Resolution <br />2 The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the IGA on behalf of the City Council <br />of the City of Louisville, except that the Mayor and the City Manager are hereby further <br />authorized to negotiate and approve such revisions to the IGA as the Mayor or City Manager <br />determines are necessary or desirable for the protection of the City, so long as the essential terms <br />and conditions of the IGA are not altered <br />3 The Mayor, City Manager and City staff are hereby authorized to execute all <br />documents and do all other things necessary on behalf of the City to perform the obligations of <br />the City under the IGA <br />Resolution No 14, Series 2018 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
