RESOLUTION NO. 11 <br />SERIES 2017 <br />A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING A <br />PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT FOR THE HISTORICAL SIGN LOCATED <br />AT 640 MAIN STREET <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) an application requesting a preservation and restoration grant for a <br />sign at 640 Main Street, the Blue Parrot Sign, on property legally described as Lots 11 and <br />12, Block 4, Town of Louisville, together with a portion of Lot 10, Block 4, Town of <br />Louisville City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the HPC have reviewed the application and found it <br />to be in compliance with Section 3.20.605.D and Section 15.36.120 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC has held a properly noticed public hearing on the preservation <br />and restoration grant and new construction grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the preservation and restoration work being requested for the Blue Parrot <br />Sign includes rehabilitating the existing sign; and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission finds these proposed <br />improvements will assist in the preservation of the Blue Parrot Sign, which is to be <br />Iandmarked by the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />The Historic Preservation Commission recommends the City Council approve the <br />proposed Preservation and Restoration Grant for the Blue Parrot Sign, in the amount of up <br />to $13,244. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of October, 2017. <br />aley, Chairperso <br />Ciok.\ eJ DI dOnspn , v i cue <br />1 <br />
