RESOLUTION NO. 04 <br />SERIES 2018 <br />A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING A <br />PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT FOR THE ARTS LOCATED AT 801 <br />GRANT AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) an application requesting a preservation and restoration for the Center <br />for the Arts, a historic commercial structure located at 801 Grant Avenue, on property <br />legally described as Lot 5-11, Block 5, Pleasant Hill Addition & Vacated Grant Street <br />Adjacent, Town of Louisville, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the HPC have reviewed the application and found it <br />to be in compliance with Section 3.20.605.D and Section 15.36.120 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC has held a properly noticed public hearing on the preservation <br />and restoration grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the preservation and restoration work being requested for the Center for <br />the Arts includes making repairs to the existing structure; and <br />WHEREAS, the work being requested for the Center for the Arts is found to be an <br />extraordinary circumstance and eligible for funding beyond the maximum grant amounts as <br />outlined in City Council Resolution No. 2, Series 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission finds these proposed <br />improvements will assist in the preservation of the Center for Arts, which is a City of <br />Louisville landmark; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1.
