ORDINANCE NO. 1784 <br />SERIES 2019 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.08 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE REGARDING THE MAYOR'S SALARY <br />WHEREAS, Section 3-5 of the home rule charter provides the mayor and each <br />councilmember shall receive the salary and benefits prescribed by Ordinance, and <br />WHEREAS, Section 2 08 030 of the Louisville Municipal Code states the salary for the <br />Mayor; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend Section 2 08 030 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code as set forth herein in order compensate the Mayor at the average market rate as determined by <br />comparison with the surrounding municipalities of Boulder, Brighton, Broomfield, Commerce City, <br />Erie, Golden, Lafayette, and Longmont. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. Section 2 08 030 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read <br />as follows (words deleted are stricken thro gh, added are underlined) <br />2.08.030. Salary <br />The mayor shall receive as full compensation for his or her services, a salary of <br />$13,320 00 $13,968 per year, payable in monthly payments, and in addition to such <br />salary benefits to include an annual membership to the Louisville Recreation Center, <br />membership in the City's health insurance programs in which any premiums will be <br />paid by the mayor, and the option to contribute to a 457 account through the City's <br />retirement plan. <br />Section 2. All other ordinances or portions thereof inconsistent or conflicting <br />with this ordinance or any portion hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such <br />inconsistency or conflict. <br />INTRODUCED, READ, PASSED ON FIRST READING, AND ORDERED <br />PUBLISHED this 17th day of September, 2019 <br />Robert P Muckle, Mayor <br />Ordinance No 1784, Series 2019 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
