ORDINANCE NO. 184. <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO DANCING AND DANCING EXHIBITIONS. <br /> BE_IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF LOUIS- <br /> h VILLE; <br /> Section 1. That from and after the passage and publication of this <br /> Ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person, association, co-part- <br /> nership or 'corporation holding a license from this Town to sell and <br /> serve Malt and Vinous liquors or Malt, Vinous and Spirituous liquors <br /> for consumption on the premises to permit any dancing or dancing ex- <br /> hibitions on such premises or on any premises adjoining such licensed <br /> premises or connected therewith during the time and hours when such <br /> license permits the selling and serving of such liquors; and it shall <br /> likewise be unlawful for any persons to indulge in such dancing or ' <br /> dancing exhibitions on such licensed premises or such adjoining pre- <br /> mises' during such time and hours. The provisions of this Section <br /> shall apply to any person, association, co-partnership or , corporation <br /> holding a license , from the Town of Louisville to sell fermented <br /> Malt beverages containing not 'more than Z.2% of alcohol by weight. <br /> Section 2. Who ever shall violate any of the provisions of this <br /> Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convict- <br /> ion shall be" subject to a fine of not less than Twenty Five Dollars <br /> nor more than Three Hundred Dollars; and upon conviction of such <br /> license, shall subject the offender to a revocation of his, their, <br /> or its license by the Board of Trustees. <br /> Section 3,. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- <br /> with are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary to <br /> the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety <br /> and shall be in force from and after its passage and publication. <br /> Section 5. That it is necessary that this Ordinance be in force <br /> and effect upon its passage and publication for the reason that <br /> dancing and dancing exhibitions in premises licensed to sell and <br /> serve intoxicating liquors for consumption on the premises where <br /> sold and ' s ei°ved has tended and will continue tovtend to distur- <br /> bance of the peace and demoralization of the participants in and <br /> spectators ,of such practices in such places unless' immediately <br /> prohibited. <br /> George Golden, <br /> Mayor. <br /> 11 -Attest : <br /> John Moffitt, <br /> Town Clerk. <br /> This .Ordinance was introduced, adopted and order published in the <br /> Louisville Times on the 7th day of May,' 1935. <br />
